Hello all,

I am looking for anyone who has taped The Mars Volta
from past to present.  I have quite a few shows to
offer, including a master and some DAT clones.  I am
looking primarily for DAT trades, but am open to other
media.  It seems that this band has garnered quite a
few DAT tapers, but not that many DAT traders.  If you
taped using DAT, but can't clone and are still
interested in trading, then let me know - I am sure we
can work something out.  Please see my site for my
list, etc.  Thanks and I hope to hear from some of
you!

Folks,
Whats the saying about the best laid plans???

I went to see Gwen Stefani, and the Black Eyed Peas
last nite in Salt Lake City. Stopped at a restaurant
before hand, to stuff my wallet, keys, checkbook, glasses
and other stuff into my 'man purse' which holds my
M1. Unpacked two tapes, then put my dat deck and the
two tapes with cases on top of the other stuff in the
'man purse', intending to take them out and stealth them in.

It took about 1/2 hour to drive 2 miles to the arena, my wife
and daughter were excited to see and hear one of their favorite
artists, and I was, well, excited to look at Gwen as well.

So, we high tailed it from the parking lot to the front steps,
and walked up to the security guards, one of which wanted
to see inside my 'man purse'. No problem I thought, as I opened
it up, then I immediately saw the two dat tape cases, and the top
of the deck with the level knob in plain view. 
"holy shit I am such a dumbass" I thought, as I pushed the cases
aside and showed the guard the contents of the fanny pack. 
"Ok looks fine" he said.
I completely forgot to hide the deck and tapes prior to leaving
the car. Did not matter anyway, he must have had the blinders
on looking for booze bottles. Far cry from last month's bust
in the middle of taping.

So, I am now mastering both tapes to computer. The only problem,
I recorded at LP setting instead of 44,000, but initial listens it
still sounds pretty good. 

And Gwen?  Well, she looked Really Really, Really good.

In search of a tape from the current Green Day
American Idiot tour, will do B&P or I can send
a trade list of original Dat masters.
