From: "Martin Klingmeyer" <mwk_public@verizon.net> Subject: RIAA at it again Date: Mon, 07 Nov 2005 01:00:27 -0500 > > Back in the real world, I was at a concert this Tuesday where the band > > actively encouraged people to copy their CDs and give them to friends -- > > they want their music to live, not be tied down. > Not sure what band this was Two comments: 1. It is easy to give something away that is worthless. Although you are not sure what band it was, we can be relatively certain it wasn't The Stones or U2. 2. That's what all the artists say before they get signed to a record label and realize how much money they are losing. Let's see what their line is when people are willing to pay for their music. Sorry I'm a cynic. -M
