Aloha everyone

There's something that's been bugging me, and I need some advice.

I've known for years that with many artists (eg Clapton, Stones, just to
name a few) there are separate cirlcles of traders that trade 'rare' items,
in other words, uncirculated material that does not show up on bootlegs.
Sometimes these are referred to by some (in a derogatory manner) as "elite
traders" or "VIP trading". Although there are many who disagree with such
practices, I am not one of them. Being not particularly fond of the bootleg
business (and that is being polite), I can understand why many do not want
certain things to circulate.

Does anyone know if this type of situation exists with bands like Zeppelin?
If it does, how would one get involved in this inner-circle trading? Is
there any specific formula needed to move up to the "next level"? Is there a
different type of etiquette involved?

I understand that this may be considered somewhat of a touchy subject, but
this hobby means quite alot to me, and so I would apprecaite it if anyone
could give me some pointers of where/how to begin doing this, if it is even
possible.
