At 5hrs 25 mins (commercial-free), it is a little shorter than the whole show. Some of the longer sets were skillfully cut to make them shorter. Probably sounds better than the webcast, but KROQ's broadcast is most famous for being very highly compressed (dynamically), in fact the waveform looks like a straight line. And censored for FCC compliance. If anyone wants this, I'm trading it as two wave files on a DVD-Rom. This can be played or copied on any computer with a DVD drive, but not on any stand-alone player that I know of. You can copy the files to your HD and turn them into CDs if you like, but you'll have to break them up and index them first unless your CD player takes 3-hour discs! But on the DVD, regular uncompressed wave files that are very easy to play or work with. I also have a DAT with just the last 1.5 hrs up for grabs. --Gary ------------------------------ From: "Ramiro Javier González Barrios" Subject: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum / Secret Chiefs 3 January 2006 Tour Date: Tue, 13 Dec 2005 08:47:53 -0400 01/06/2006 Aladdin Theater Portland OR 01/07/2006 Neumos Seattle WA 01/08/2006 Richard on Richards Vancouver BC 01/10/2006 WOW Hall Eugene OR 01/12/2006 The Catalyst Santa Cruz CA 01/13/2006 Troubadour Los Angeles CA 01/14/2006 Great American Music Hall San Francisco CA I would like to know if some of you are planning on taping these shows (audio or video), if so, I would be interested in trading, please contact me at: lordohtu@yahoo.com to set up trades. I am putting a system for editing in my computer eventually as I put DVD burners into it, but as we are using an HHB cdr-850 stand alone cd burner for our D.A.T. transfers I like using our D.A.T. machines for laying in tracks and then digitally transferring to disc. If anyone has any experience with this machine please advise thoughts on compatibility with most other players and ability to play these DVD's in our computer(windows xp) and ease of use for laying in track codes.
