While this material certainly has value for some members, I think selling them on Ebay is probably more appropriate. Seán ------------------------------ From: DannyThweatt@webtv.net (Danny Thweatt) Subject: Data lost? M1 Problem Date: Thu, 15 Dec 2005 12:17:45 -0600 Taped (or maybe attempted to tape) U2 last night in St. Louis. Here's the deal: Well, security was nonexistent at Savvis, so I got my gear in easy, but I have a big problem. When I started recording, I checked my levels, hit record, and was able to set my gear bag on a ledge over one of the entrances unobstructed pointing at the stacks. After the show, I looked at it, it was still getting levels and was reading 2 hours and 40 minutes, which was right. Hit stop and rewind. Got home last night and pushed play... Nothing. Said blank on the display. Tried again and again, but no go. This morning, tried again and I have about a minute and a half of audio (that's sounds very nice) and then it cuts out and won't play. Do you guys think the audio data is still on that tape? I couldn't have erased it during the rewind could I? Could it be a problem with my heads on my M1? Other tapes play fine. Any ideas? I've heard of this type of stuff with D8's but never an M1. This sucks! (And forgive the long post). It is no longer available from Panasonic. Is this a proprietary cable/connector from Panasonic? I am having trouble finding one. Does anyone know if there is an available substitute or even what type of digital out cable/connector this recorder uses? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Tim Wilson Oakland, CA __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
