DAT-heads Digest #695, Volume #7 Sun, 18 Dec 05 13:50:01 EST Contents: help with DVD hard drive recorders (J Levene) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: J Levene Subject: help with DVD hard drive recorders Date: Sun, 18 Dec 2005 10:32:14 -0800 (PST) I need help from anyone with experience using a DVD Hard Drive Recorder. I am looking for recommendations for a device that allows me to recorder from cable TV + playback from VHS & a Sony camcorder. Once recorded on the HDD I want to be able to create chapters and a menu plus edit out commercials or unwanted scenes. Then I would like to burn the project DVD +R. This much I think I can do with most devices on the market. But, I also must be able to connect it to my home network, preferrably wirelessly but ethernet is okay or even firewire. I have found 2 machines online; JVC DR-MH50 & Liteon LVW-5045. If you are familiar with these or other devices like them please let me know your likes and dislikes. I appreciate your help and will be glad to make copies of any of my concert recordings once I get them mastered to dvd. ttfn & happy holidaze!
