Looking for a guy that I traded with some time back, summer of 1998.
Mike Driscoll from Thomasville North Carolina. Mike was the first guy that I
traded DATS with and supplied me with the entire Dead February 1971
Portchester run. I assumed that these were from the WBOTB DAT vine/tree but
these are sampled 44.1khz and have beginning and ending fades roughly at
logical CD time breaks. I know that at one point after 2000 I believe, an
edited version of these shows (minus the high frequency whine) circulated on
DAT cloned from CD-R discs but these tapes seem to pre-date this tree by at
least a year and a half.
Mike if you are out there, get in touch with me if you can. Or if anyone
knows the source of these dats, I'd love to know the history.
Thanks,
Paul Beichert

I've had this card for several years, but it hasn't been installed for at
least the last two. As such, I cannot guarantee it will work, but I have no
reason to believe it does not. Comes with manual and optional optical
daughter card, as well as the install CD. Reasonable offer will be
accepted, money back for DOA.
Thanks for the bandwidth -
Scott in SC

Hello Heads,
Just so you are aware, the great lead singer from the DC5 has suffered the misfortune
of a catastrophic accident which has left him a quadriplegic. This tribute was orchestrated
by Paul Schaeffer( Late Night) and a surprising roster of guests turned out to
help including: The Fab Faux (excellent Beatles trib band) Billy J. Kramer, Denny
Laine, Peter & Gordon and the Zombies.
There were two sets performed and set one, which I have on 2cd-r, was apparently
a broadcast (XM radio, possibly). This is a really nice recording and a great
show with lots of surprises! There's also a brief video message from Mike in hospital
expressing his appreciation.
I'm hoping that someone was there taping the second set, and I'd be most appreciative
and happy to trade for it with any interested head.

Tom
