From: avps <avps@erols.com> Subject: re: Are the Black Keys taper friendly? Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 19:35:15 -0500 i thought they were. i was attempting to tape them in dec 2005 and was busted while discretely setting up to stealth record them. there were signs outside the venue that stated no audio or video recording. the venue wanted to keep my gear in order to stay to see the show. i bolted asap hoping they would not recognize me in the future. the guy that busted me took my ticket at a show 2 weeks ago. he had no idea who i was.
From: "Alex Cohen" <humbug66@hotmail.com> Subject: Black Keys Date: Tue, 14 Feb 2006 16:42:34 +0000 I've always stealthed the BK in the past, but then I've only ever taped them in the UK. The band are fine with trading shows though, they used to have an official policy where tapers were encouraged to send in shows to their managemnet. However this is missing from the latest Black Keys website. This is the best I can find: "Though it's super-clear from below that The Black Keys is happy with fan taping and trading, we'd want to make sure that they'd also be OK with longterm public archiving and downloading, so we'd need an explicit OK for that. Fortunately, I see a familiar name at the bottom of that policy..." Cheers Humbug
