> side B has massive problems on the left channel
If the problem is ONLY with the left channel, just use a "Y" cable to
copy the right channel to both channels. Audience tapes almost
never have any real stereo (the drunks in the room are in stereo but
not the band). It's true that the stereo "ambience" makes audience
recordings sound better, but this is usually rather random and
completely irrelevant to the music. You can make ambience
yourself with a "echo/delay" unit or similar feature on your
computer editing program.
Whenever I have a tape where one channel is just a little screwed
up, I have to decide, Do I want the stereo so badly that I'll allow this
distracting problem that really calls attention to itself, or just go
with mono that no one will even notice. I go with mono.

Hello.
I need some help.
I taped and filmed Editors on March28 and 30th in new york.
The dvs are gorgeous tripod shot films.
The dats have some clipping issues unfortunatly.
I am in desperate need of clean audio sources of these dates to synch
with the videos.
I know i was not the only one at these dates rolling, please help me
find them if they are willing to be part of this.
Also have other Editors/Interpol/similar bands masters (4061+m1) in
good quality available if a copy of the final film dosen't interest
you.

Darren,
We have this discussion before, but this has nothing to do with DAT and
there are better places to post pressed Pre-FMs that you are passing on.
Sean
