From: "Jean Lerond" <lerond@gmail.com> Subject: newer flash recorders Date: Tue, 23 May 2006 16:49:24 -0700 Anyone like to offer up their two cents about using the new flash recorders out in the field, preferably in undercover situations? I'm thinking that the Tascam HDP2 looks pretty tempting, price wise, but seems kinda heftyto be carrying in my trowsers...
From: "Thomas B. Nast" <tbnast@isomedia.com> Subject: Need Pin-Outs for Sony D10 AES/EBU cable Date: Tue, 23 May 2006 23:06:28 -0700 I'm hoping someone can tell me what the pin connections for the Sony D10 breakout cable, which has a little 14 pin connector on one end and a male and female XLR on the other end, carrying an AES/EBU signal. What I need to know is which pin on the little 14 pin connector (and I've found that a common staple is a useful conductor to shove into it for testing continuity) connects to which pin (and the grounded shell itself) on the Canon XLR connectors. Shouldn't be too hard to repair this, if I only knew how it worked in the first place. Many thanks. Th.B. Nast Seattle
