Thankyou for the review. Plenty of information to absorb, and it's
good to see viable & affordable HD recorders are f-i-n-a-l-l-y starting
to appear.
A few important things you left out though:
1. URL - <http://www.edirol.net/products/en/R-09/>
2. Pity it uses SD rather than more popular (= more options) CF memory.
3. Price? How does it compare to the other HD recorders you mention?
4. You say it can power mics, but what voltage? 1V? 10V? 48V?
96V?...
5. Most crucially, how do recordings made with the R-09 _sound_? Are
the built-in mic-pres adequate? (I doubt it, but one can hope...)

Stephen,
I'm sure it will be a while before I make the move to something other than
my Sony M1, but I wanted to thank you nonetheless for your detailed
review/comparison of the various digital tapeless recorders out there! Kepp
us posted if/when you purchase and/or use any other recorders. Thanx again!
Scott
