VX Pocket V2 configuration for SPDIF (Bruce Burnett)
From: Bruce Burnett <dubcentralstation@yahoo.com> Subject: VX Pocket V2 configuration for SPDIF Date: Thu, 19 Oct 2006 12:44:27 -0700 (PDT) Does anybody know how to get the VX Pocket to recognize my SPDIF input? Sometimes it works, but most of the time I get "undefined external error" "please switch driver system to 16bit or use the WDM driver" Its already on 16 bit, but I am using the MME driver. I switch over to use the WDM driver in Samplitude Options, and I can not check the box for "Digital Input" under the WDM driver. It will record analog under the WDM driver, but not digital. The MME driver works occaisionally in Data Mode, but most of the time it doesn't. I'm using XP, Samplitude Professional 8, and the latest VX Pocket drivers/software from Digigram. I guess my question is: based upon the issues above, "how can I record straight from a Tascam DAT straight into the VX Pocket in Data Mode without any configuration problems" I have done it many times in the past, but usually requires hours of tinkering with windows and Digigram setting and numerous reboots to get it to recognize the SPDIF input. The ASIO driver seems to take a lot of errors so I have not tried tweeking that yet. I have wrote to Digigram and they sent me a stupid script that didn't work, although I will contact them again. Any help, tips or suggesstions would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Bruce __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
