Hey All
         ....am in search of some suggestions for a pre-amp for my akg 
480's.  I have been using the onboard pre on my apogee a/d1000 for years 
with great success, however my a/d1000 is now dead and I'm search for some 
suggestions for a pre-amp to go in front of an apogee 500e i have access to. 
  Anyone on the list currently running 480's with an a/d500e that could give 
me some suggestions.  Am thinking of kicking down for a grace design v3 but 
any help is appreciated. Please e-mail me off the list if you can help.
