I have on old Sony 670 and 690. Neither of them work anymore (and have
sat unused for 5(?) years... (The 690 worked fine the last time I used
it, but when I pulled it out a year ago to just play something, it
seemed to have trouble tracking all tapes...)

Any suggestions on what to do with them other than to send them to the
dump?

(Sigh, the passing of an era...)
