Good question; if you get some good answers privately could you post them to 
the list? I've got a Tascam DA30 with a load/transport problem that I'd be 
willing to give to anyone willing to pay the shipping. I was thinking about 
offering it to Paul Plotnik but I noticed they already have several refurbs for 
sale on the web site...

I'm selling my Sony PCM-M1 portable DAT recorder. It is in great
condition both functionally and cosmetically -- it has about 65 hours
of recording and 65 hours of playback on it over 6 years. Have never
had any problems with it. I'm also including a Core-Sound
7-pin-to-coax cable for digital transfers, the PCM-M1 original box and
manuals, all in perfect condition, along with the leather case. Asking
$450 for the entire package.
