by all means do lower the audience clapping to be lower than the
music!! everybody hates those sloppy recordings, when the clapping is
setting the limit of how loud one dares to hear the music or forces
one to constantly change volumes!

make the recoding a nice listening experience.
this is much better than the pseudo-fidelity that doesn't recreate
the atmosphere but only reflects the coincidental placing of your
stealth mics..
