(Nick Zuccaro) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "David Stovall" Subject: Re: Wav Files Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2007 15:10:10 -0400 It's easy to ensure that this process is full-digital, and also to ensure that you make the track breaks correctly, without creating sector boundary errors. You don't say what operating system you use, but if it's a Windows version, all you need is: Exact Audio Copy - to rip the .wav file from the source CD. This process is fully a data process - no digital->analog->digital conversions at all. (EAC is the most robust, thorough error-checking ripping program around for Windows, and though it takes a little bit of tweaking to get it set up fully, it's worth it.) CDWave - to split the source .wav into tracks. This is truly easy to use, and automatically creates the splits on sector-boundaries, so there are no little glitchy gaps at the track breaks on the subsequent tracked-out CD. Some CD burning program. Just make sure it has a setting for "Disc-at-Once" (DAO) writing, so you don't end up with any BIG (2-second) glitchy gaps between the tracks. (If this CD is a studio recording with silence between songs anyway, that might not make any difference.) I assume you already have a burning program, but if not, I happily use Feurio, which is also a bit fiddly to set up, but very powerful. Google the names of any of these apps for a download link. -d- > From: Mason Cool > Subject: Wav Files > Date: Wed, 26 Sep 2007 08:44:45 -0400 > > > I have a CD with only one track.
