Hey folks...a company I'm working with in NYC is shooting a doc on
the live music scene and will be in LA on Friday at Echoplex for a
shoot with the band Uncle.
I've given them their options as far as doing a stereo pair recording
vs. a stereo pair + SBD mix vs. a complete multi-track
recording....not sure yet what they will want.
I will try to talk them into doing a stereo feed from the board +
stereo pair(Shoeps-Neumann) recording. It is the easiest and won't
require much mixdown.
Has anyone recorded at the Echoplex and is anyone in the LA area able
to do this on Friday that has these capabilities? This is a paying
gig.
I am also interested in folks who are familiar with the Echoplex to
give me a heads up on the what the room is like. Good
board?...boomy?
The producer is in LA now and is able to meet prospective sound recordists.
Thanks fellow tapers...Gary Davis any advice?
