I've got a macbook pro, and couldn't get the edirol
fa-66 or m-audio 410 firewire devices to work. very
frustrating. So I tried something different. Hooked my
HHB 850 optical output to the mac's digital input
(with a sony adaptor). It works! Plugged my cassette
deck into the HHB, set the HHB to moniter, and the
signal passes through to Sound Studio. 

I've set the recording in Sound Studio to 32/96, but
what I am wondering is if this is actually happening. 
The signal is passing through the HHB, but there's no
sample rate showing on the front panel. I'm hoping
this is a good setup, as the analog to digital
converters in this unit always sounded great. I used
it to transfer many casettes years ago.
