DAT-heads Digest #293, Volume #8 Mon, 28 Jan 08 17:50:02 EST Contents: DAT collection for sale (David McGee) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: David McGee Subject: DAT collection for sale Date: Mon, 28 Jan 2008 14:41:46 -0800 After considerable thought, I've decided to part with my DAT =20 collection. Busy job, new kid =3D little time. Makes me kinda sad, but = =20 I know they'll be better in someone else's hands. Someone could =20 either use these tapes again for audio or data, or enjoy the music. So, I have a collection of about 640 DATs. I say "about" because some =20= shows span 2 DATs, while others shows may be shared on the same DAT as =20= another show. I prefer not to break these up. They include: =B1300 Clapton =B160 Meters/funky Meters =B140 Stevie Ray Vaughan =B135 Allmans =B125 Los Lobs =B120 Gov't Mule many more As you can see, I was an avid Clapton collector. Many of my tapes are =20= masters, or from other tapers. I spent a lot of time tracking down =20 low or master gen copies. I was a DAT snob. If there is something in my collection that sounds bad, it is =20 generally of other historic importance (Duane Allman playing with =20 Derek & the Dominos, EC playing sax!, etc). I have not taped/traded =20 in a couple of years, so almost everything I have is 2004 or older =20 (mostly older). Again, I'd like to keep these together (they are all friends, after =20 all). The "many more" DATs are varied, but tend to lean towards =20 blues. The vast majority of them have printed labels, many =20 (especially Clapton) with setlists. Email me for a complete list in =20 Excel format. If you cannot handle Excel, I'll send plain text. I'm looking to get $950 for the whole enchilada. Anyone who wants the =20= whole thing, I'll throw in a Panasonic SV-3700 DAT deck (there's a =20 catch). OK, hit me with questions!= ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
