DAT-heads Digest #313, Volume #8 Wed, 27 Feb 08 12:50:02 EST Contents: What dat deck for transferring? (Keith) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Keith Subject: What dat deck for transferring? Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 09:43:51 -0800 (PST) OK, I need to get my Dats transferred to my hard drive before they get too old. I've tried a couple different SCSI audio capable drives that give rather poor results as far as diginoise, and my d100 has developed a nasty tendency of eating my tapes, luckily after I have transferred them, so far. So I need to pick up a good old Dat Deck that can handle 90m (180 minutes) tapes. I imagine I'll be watching ebay, so what model should I be looking for? What is the taper standard/workhorse dat machine for transferring? Thanks all. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
