I've got a stand alone C.D. burner, a H.B. cdr 850, we
had the main board replaced a couple of years ago, the
deck is approx. 9 yrs. old, it won't play CDR's that
we burned on it although it will play commercial
c.d.s. I took the cover off and cleaned laser lens
with methyl alcohol.would not play anything, blasted
lens with dust off and played comm. discs fine, played
a copy of a disc that was burned on it but had slight
digiglitches, then would not play the cdrs but still
plays comm. discs. Laser going out? Beam alignment?
Our car deck(a sony) stopped playing cdr's first and
eventually would not play commercial discs
either.Seems like this deck is heading in the same
direction. Any insight would be much appreciated
