As long as they are properly cared for there should very little degrading.=
=A0=A0 I still listen, while transferring to wave file, tapes older than 10=
 years and they sound just fine.=A0=A0 A quick googling shows a 10 pack for=
 Sony & Maxell 60m tapes=A0about $30 +/-=A0 so I would say any price lower =
