Last November I wrote to the author of VDAT aboout getting a
copy of the full version. Here is his reply:

you have paid.
You are aware, that you need a special drive with special
firmware?

I ended up going with DAT2WAV, and saved myself $100.

Subject: Tweaking VDAT with W2K and XP

Now I'm all set with VDAT, but when I tried to start the .exe from the desktop in XP, I got a brief flash of a DOS window, then nothing. I assumed it doesn't run on XP, and I loaded up Win2K--where I used it before. Same performance. What am I missing?
Any VDAT users willing to send a quick list of steps to making this thing work?
