Wayne and all,
Just wondering if the dds dat drives are reliable at this point? Are theystill being made? If newer reliable machines are available I wouldhave some interest.
I just had my Onkyo DT-901 overhauled by prodigital and they did a great job. So time to get the DATs back out andsee what I have.
I have a TCD-D3 too and I am sure it needs help but as I remember there are no parts available, correct?

In response to a few emails I got from folks who couldn't access the DATheads group, I am forming DATHEADS2WAV at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/datheads2wav
The topic is specifically migration of DAT material to PC. Solutions, problems, software, scripts, hardware--let's talk and make the group work.
None of us have a lot of time for this, but hopefully this format will save a lot of horsing around and allow us to get our DAT collections moved to a more usable format. There's a lot of good stuff on our DATs, and it won't see the light of day if we don't get this done.
