I've been posting shows and clips to Archive.org.
Once you post a FLAC or other format there, it automatically converts your
show to other formats, so people can download an MP3 or even stream it
live, or download the FLAC, depending on how much commitment they want
to put into hearing your show. Also, Archive allows extensive
documentation.
The only trick is finding the right category. If they don't already have your
band in their list, I think you can post to "Open Source Audio." I believe
Archive.org is primarily for bands that allow taping (or where you got
permission), but I'm not sure.
All the text you enter can be picked up by searches. For example, if anyone
on DAT-Heads would like to hear some of my latest Nels Cline -related
postings, just go to Archive.org, search for "Nels Cline," and then set the
display order to "most recent posted first" - you will see some of mine near
the top!
